Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center is also known as “CCB” or the Criminal Courts Building in Downtown Los Angeles. located at 210 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. This courthouse is known in Los Angeles as the place where the most serious criminal matters are heard. Opened in 1972, it was originally known as the Criminal Courts Building. In 2002 it was renamed the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, after Clara S. Foltz. While this courthouse does hear both misdemeanor and felony matters, this building is best known for the big hitters. The 9th floor is reserved for the most high profile cases of all and there is a second level of security to gain entrance to the 9th floor.
Traveling to CCB and locating parking is of course a challenge because this court is located in the center of Downtown Los Angeles. Traffic and parking are so challenging that it may be wise to consider arriving by bus or train. Public transportation is generally very poor in Los Angeles but downtown LA is an exception with most services offering routes to downtown LA.
